The music in this LP is hitting loud drums and guitars but the difference of Expo 86 on the other two LP's is that it is more straight forward. They tended to have a little bit more of abstract experimentation into the song structures but this time around they were much more cohesive, with just really well made rock songs thinking in the entire picture, basically if you like one song you'll like all of them, and this is not necessarily a bad thing, because the intention of this album is just to be loud and rock. You can see that in the cover with kids with masks and make up and guns about to start the really violent and adventurous game. For some it might not work something as loud and violet but I'm diggin' it.
A YouTube reviewer that I admire a lot called (Anthony Fantano the self titled busiest internet music nerd) when he reviewed the album he used a phrase that I will just quote; he said the intention of the album was to say "Don't think...Just Rock", and I agree so much on this, this is just an album to get out and be loud and rock...careless on anything, very kid like.
